NIGHT OF THE WEBCAM
A complex web of intrigue and unclear alliances. Night of the Webcam took several months to write, and one more month to go through a Kindle Scout campaign starting on May 12th and ending June 8th.
Again I was amazed at the amount of work involved -- tons of research, fact-checking, timeline logistics -- as well as the usual copy-editing, polishing, and perfecting to produce the final book. I'm thrilled with how it has come out, and I think the cover is amazing. I hope you feel the same!
It's a romantic thriller with four strong protagonists and some nasty villains set against the glorious architectural backdrops of Venice, Rome and Verona. One of my blog posts talks about the inspiration and spark that got me writing. Basically it's this: what if you watched a crime taking place on a public webcam feed? Kendric MacArthur has that moral dilemma and a very strong reason for taking action.

A photo of Night of the Webcam in paperback on display inside Le Levain, the amazing patisserie in Trastevere, Rome, Italy.
The actual location of that niche is shown by the red arrow. This is the place where my characters Laura and Kendric have lunch in the chapter entitled "Soul Feeding". Just one of the real-life elements in the story. If you are lucky enough to be in Rome, you simply MUST go to Le Levain for lunch or breakfast or a snack. The address is Via Luigi Santini 22/23, Trastevere. You can thank me later. My appreciation for the lovely photo to Giuseppe Solfrizzi, the wizard chef of this unique establishment. |
